Spring Days

quince blossom
My Quince tree is covered in the in the prettiest delicate blossom that open each morning to greet the sun and then close up again each evening. Although the tree is rather small it will be laden down with fruit if each of the flowers set. The mornings are beautiful at this time of the year. There are so many heart sea violas, or johnny jump ups as some people call them flowering in the vegetable gardens at the moment. I have been transplanting them in the courtyard, hoping that they will self seed each year as well as the do in the outside garden. The red flowering broad beans are so pretty and have many more flowers on them than the Cole's dwarf variety that are growing amongst the potatoes. A few more weeds pulled and a bit of cleaning up done. always lots to do!
