Optimistic

BANGKOK MARKET
Our summer has been as fiery hot as these chillies I took a photo of in a market in Bangkok. Record temperatures and hot winds for weeks did little for a productive garden. It has not been all bad, but production and enthusiasm have been at an all time low!
Last weekend a few kitchen gardens near here were open for inspection and story swapping. I think everyone had similar tales of woe. Sadly for gardeners who live out of town, water supplies are running critically low.
But gardeners are an optimistic bunch and today while buying a few seedlings to plant this week i ran into many of the people I saw at the open gardens. So there is always hope!
