A friend gave me some sourdough culture so that I can begin to make my own bread again. The problem is that I don't eat enough bread to make a large loaf every week. I was invited out for dinner last Saturday night. I made a dip and baked these tiny loaves to cut up to serve with the dip.
Sourdough mini loaves.
I fed the culture a cup of water and a cup of flour. Left it sit on the bench for a few hours. Poured some of the culture into some rye flour and mixed it with a dough hook until it was like a thick cake batter. I spooned the batter into 6 large Texas muffin tins. Baked in a 220c oven until cooked.
How easy is that?
